Two people were injured by gunfire in San Francisco over the weekend, according to police.
In the first incident, which took place on Friday night around 10:45pm near 25th and Harrison streets in the Mission, a 27-year-old man was walking down the street when he heard gunshots and realized that he’d been wounded.
The victim, who suffered non-life-threatening wounds, transported himself to a hospital and did not identify any suspects.
Just after noon on Saturday in the Sunnydale district, police officers responding to a Shot Spotter activation heard shots and located bullet casings before finding a 45-year-old man who’d been wounded by gunfire.
Officers transported the victim to a hospital for treatment, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone who has information about either of these incidents is encouraged to contact SFPD via the department's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444, or text TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.
