Fine & Fettle makes SouthPark debut, with Southern fare and morePhoto: Daniel W./Yelp

A new Southern spot has debuted in the neighborhood. Located in the Canopy hotel at 4905 Barclay Downs Drive, the new addition is called Fine & Fettle.

Fine & Fettle, which bills itself as a "cozy coffeehouse in the morning, candlelit gastro lounge at night," offers farm-to-table fare with a Southern, comfort-food influence. On the dinner menu, guests will find shareables such as wings served with buttermilk vinaigrette, sliders with pickled green tomatoes and pork cheeks with braised fennel, as well as mains like pizza, pasta and daily meat and fish entrees. Meanwhile, the bar serves up wine, local craft beers and nearly a dozen signature cocktails.

In the mornings, Fine & Fettle operates as a coffee bar and offers coffee drinks, in addition to breakfast, brunch and lunch. Stop by for avocado toasts, grits bowls, salads, fish tacos and more.

Fine & Fettle is off to a promising start among patrons, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Chris R., who reviewed the new spot on June 20, wrote, "This place is amazing! The cocktail program is on-point, with food that pairs very nicely with all their summer beverages. Recommend the RedRum for cocktails, and the wings, octopus and pork cheeks on the food menu. So good!"

Yelper Mandy L. added, “Just moved to Charlotte from Chicago and was craving some interesting food and delicious wine, and I'm so glad we stopped by Fine and Fettle! The space is beautiful; I loved the patio; food was delicious. We especially liked the octopus; it was cooked perfectly."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Fine & Fettle opens for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. daily and stays open until 11 p.m., with dinner service available from 5–10 p.m.
