San Francisco's street fentanyl crisis continues to make headlines, with its Tenderloin neighborhood at the center of attention. In an attempt to address the issue, Mayor Breed has announced a strategy to arrest individuals being high on drugs, and Governor Gavin Newsom has deployed the California Highway Patrol (CHP) to the troubled area. However, Supervisor Matt Dorsey stated during a recent interview on KGO that although 16 arrests for public intoxication have been made since Breed's declaration, there has been little observable change in the street conditions in the Tenderloin and South of Market areas.
