Trunk or Treat events have grown in popularity over the last few years, and with good reason. As Good Housekeeping highlights, these events offer a fresh and secure alternative to the traditional trick-or-treating experience. By designating a specific location for children to receive candy, communities can ensure both fun and safety. Local businesses, nonprofits, and residents come together to turn their car trunks into elaborately decorated candy stations.
The Livermore Police Department's event not only offers entertainment for the city's children, but it also bridges the gap between law enforcement and the community by uniting behind a common cause — Halloween!
As in previous years, the Livermore Police Department is seeking candy donations from community members and businesses. If you are interested in donating to this year's event, you're encouraged to contact the Community Outreach Team at [email protected] for vetting and details.
