A Monday afternoon at Kalamazoo Central High School was disrupted when police discovered a 16-year-old student carrying a loaded, stolen firearm on school property. The gun, besides being loaded, was found to be stolen.

The incident, which took place around 2:00 p.m., saw no injuries among staff or students, as per authorities. The juvenile was taken into custody and is now lodged at the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home, facing a slew of serious charges, as noted by FOX 17 News. These charges are pending review by the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office and include carrying a concealed weapon, violating a weapon-free school zone, and possession of stolen property.
