A deadly shooting in Athens has claimed the life of a local man and left another injured. The Athens-Clarke County Police Department reported that the incident occurred late Wednesday night in the 100 block of Huntington Road. Officers arrived at the scene around 11 p.m. to find 25-year-old Nigel Zachariah Turner dead from a gunshot wound. "A second gunshot victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries," FOX 5 Atlanta reported.

The authorities have not yet released the name of the second victim, who they found with gunshot wounds suffering but whose injuries, thankfully, are not expected to be life-threatening.
