Two bold carjackers are on the run after confronting a woman in Chicago's Avondale neighborhood and making off with her vehicle while she was busy unloading groceries, police reported. The incident, which unfolded in broad daylight around 6:15 P.M. on the 3400 block of North Albany Avenue, saw the victim — a 36-year-old woman — accosted at gunpoint. WLS notes that she was in the process of removing items from her black Volkswagen SUV when the two men approached and demanded the keys.

"No one is in custody as Area Five detectives investigate," said the Chicago Police, highlighting the once peaceful act of unloading groceries now marred by violence and fear. It seems that the carjackers, who appeared too young to even start the car, according to a neighbor's observation to CBS, had no qualms flexing their warped interpretation of power over a routine and mundane task. The woman, fortunately, escaped physical harm in the confrontation.
