Visitors can take advantage of this reduced fee from May 25 through 27 to enjoy everything the estate has to offer, including wildlife viewing and bay vistas.
While families prepare to fire up the grill and spend some quality time, they can also enjoy self-guided tours of the museums housed within the Deering Estate. Tickets are available online for those interested, with a free pass for Deering Estate Foundation members and little ones under the age of four. This discounted admission does not just stand alone as a holiday promotion, but it is part of a broader effort to accommodate military families during the summer months.
In a statement to the community, it's noted that the Deering Estate is a participant in the Blue Star Museums initiative. From Armed Forces Day, starting on May 18, through Labor Day on September 2, active duty military personnel along with up to five family members receive free admission to the estate as a gesture of gratitude for their service and sacrifice.
