The pair is facing second-degree murder charges and were held without bond after a court appearance on Saturday.

Held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, Clark is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and grand theft of a firearm. The man shot suffered multiple gunshot wounds and critically injured, passed away on April 24 at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. Police reports obtained by NBC Miami indicate the confrontation started after Clark and Pickett-Wilson, accompanied by four children, found the man rummaging through their car.

During the altercation, which escalated after the man allegedly punched Pickett-Wilson and attempted to flee with a bookbag containing Clark's rent money, both women chased after him. The reports detailed Pickett-Wilson used pepper spray on him before he was shot three times. While sections of the reports are redacted, Clark and Pickett-Wilson maintain they were unaware of the firearm inside the blue bookbag. The identity of the deceased has not been released.
