Kenroy Jackson Jr., 22, has been arrested after hitting the bicyclist, identified as 20-year-old Eric Gray, early yesterday morning. According to NBC Miami, the crash occurred on North Andrews Avenue when Jackson lost control of his 2017 Mercedes C300 Coupe and careened into the bicycle lane.

After striking a Broward Sheriff's Office K9 vehicle during the street takeover, Jackson sped away, leading to the fatal accident that claimed the life of Gray, who was described as "good-hearted person, funny, and loving life" by his brother Keyon Gray in an interview with Local 10. The authorities lost sight of Jackson until they stumbled upon the crash site; Jackson then attempted to flee on foot but was subsequently apprehended and booked into the BSO Main Jail, facing several charges including aggravated fleeing with serious injury or death, and participation in unlawful race.
