The famed Skagit Valley Tulip Festival has just received an infusion of more time for flower enthusiasts to get their bloom fix. In an unprecedented move, Tulip Valley Farms has announced an extension of the festival, now slated to run until May 5. The decision comes off the heels of what has been described as an "extraordinary year" by the farm's founder, Andrew Miller.

Speaking to the ingenuity behind prolonging the tulips' vibrancy, Miller told FOX 13 Seattle, "Adding a few extra weekends to the bloom this year has been the icing on the cake for us." He added that through innovative planting techniques, the farm is celebrating their second year by becoming the nation's second largest u-pick tulip operation.

There's more to the extension than just added time. Tulip Valley Farms is not only allowing guests to continue to marvel at the multicolored spectacle, but they're also offering sweet deals. The farm is reintroducing their "End of Bloom All You-Can-Fit U-Pick Buckets" priced at $30 when bought at the farm and a discounted $25 for those savvy enough to purchase online ahead of time.

In terms of admission, the farm has decided to dig deep and offer visitors a reduced price, Miller conveyed the prices in a statement obtained by KOMO News. Blooming with excitement, children between the ages of 3-15 can now access the fields for $5, adults for $10, and a special rate of $7 is available for seniors and military members.

Miller, embracing the whims of nature, said, "Mother Nature decides when and for how long to bless us with bloom, it's our work to position the farm and fun accordingly!" Giving guests more opportunities to stroll amongst the flowers, capture vibrant photos, and handpick their favorite specimens, all before spring bids adieu, as reported by KOMO News.
