As reported by the Glendale Police Department, the chase wound up with the vehicle unable to handle the offramp turn at Figueroa Street, crashing and consequently allowing the law to swoop in.

A WiFi signal jammer, assumed to disrupt security systems, was among the evidence left behind and later linked to the crooked pair, an increasingly common tool in the trade of high-tech thievery. Glendale Police Chief Manny Cid addressed the perpetually adapting nature of criminal tech, praising his squad's readiness to face these challenges head-on. "Our officers are prepared and equipped to tackle this burglary surge with all our resources," Cid stated, highlighting a community-wide effort to push back against rising crime rates.

In light of the events, both Guanume and Martinez Vargas face burglary charges, with the driver additionally charged with felony evading.
