Winds from the west northwest are expected to pick up, reaching speeds between 9 and 15 mph, with gusts possibly hitting as high as 23 mph, as mentioned on the National Weather Service website.

As night descends, the weather is set to remain clear with the temperature dropping to a low around 54. The winds, persisting from the north northwest, will maintain their strength at 9 to 14 mph and could continue bustling through the city with gusts up to 22 mph. Moving into the weekend, Atlantans can look forward to predominantly sunny skies with highs hovering in the mid-70s to high 70s, and lighter winds that should not exceed 13 mph, suggest reports from both the National Weather Service and FOX 5 Atlanta.

The latter part of the week, from Wednesday through Friday, retains a possibility for intermittent showers amidst mostly sunny conditions, with temperatures climbing back up to the low 80s.

FOX 5 Atlanta's detailed hourly forecast for May 10th mirrors the anticipation of a warm day, with the temperature incrementally rising from the mid-60s in the early morning to peak near 80 in the afternoon, before cooling back down to the low 50s by the next morning. The slight chances of precipitation seem to dwindle as the sun climbs higher, dropping to a mere 1 percent by afternoon.
