In Jamaica Plain, blue met green as Boston PD's finest from District E-13 strolled alongside an energetic crowd in the 45th Annual Wake Up the Earth Parade and Festival. According to a release by the Boston Police Department, more than 4,000 participants—including officers—flocked to the streets to celebrate community spirit and the arrival of spring.

It wasn't all fanfare and revelry; officers engaged in meaningful dialogues with locals. As street performers dazzled, and music filled the air, some of the younger attendees got a hands-on experience with police cruisers, its flashing lights a beacon of curiosity on a festive day. "It was a great day for a parade and a great chance to celebrate our City with members of the communities we serve," the release noted, capturing the dual spirit of festivity, and community outreach.
