Calling all sea creature enthusiasts and costume lovers to the banks of the Charles River! The Mermaid Promenade is set to make a splash at this year's Cambridge Arts River Festival on June 15. The City of Cambridge invites folks of all ages to dive into the festivities by dressing up as mermaids, mermen, or their favorite aquatic character. The event promises an ocean of fun and a tidal wave of color as participants parade through the streets.

The procession is set to line-up at Winthrop Park at the intersection of Winthrop Street and JFK Street by 11:15 a.m. According to the city's announcement, the parade will commence at 11:30 a.m., winding south on JFK Street, then east on Memorial Drive, and finally it will weave through the festival grounds, ending at Corporal Burns Park on Flagg Street.
