Glendale cops bagged a burglary suspect they believe knocked over a string of businesses last month, arresting 24-year-old Charles Christopher in a major case breakthrough, officials said Thursday.

On the first of May, sleuths at the Glendale Police Department put the cuffs on Christopher at his Compton pad where they found a trove of evidence pinning him to seven different heists, including a stunning five commercial burglaries he allegedly pulled off in one wild night.

"GPD Detectives presented their case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, resulting in the filing of six felony burglary charges and four vandalism charges against the suspect," the department said.

Even as Christopher is locked up, the Glendale Police Department’s robbery/auto-theft gumshoes remain on the hunt, piecing together this sprawling criminal puzzle that’s kept Glendale's businesses on edge; the ongoing investigation has detectives sniffing down every possible lead to ensure the entire network behind the burglaries is rooted out and booked.

About 250 officers and nearly 400 total employees strong, the historic Glendale Police Department, established in 1906, prides itself on a reputation of proactive policing and strong community ties—patrolling streets, leading investigations, and running the local jail.
