LaGrange police are on the hunt for a hit-and-run driver who killed 55-year-old Timothy Waddell on the night of May 5. The tragic incident took place on the 400 block of New Franklin Road. Responding officers arrived around 9:44 p.m. to discover Waddell deceased on the scene, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.

An investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Traffic Unit revealed that an unmarked vehicle had struck Waddell before fleeing the area. The identity of the driver remains unknown, prompting law enforcement to appeal to the public for assistance in this matter. According to a WTVM report, no description of the vehicle has been released as of yet.

Authorities are urging anyone who might have information related to the incident to step forward. Witnesses, or individuals with any knowledge pertinent to the ongoing case, are encouraged to contact the LaGrange Police Department directly at 706-883-2603.

Troup County Crime Stoppers is also involved, allowing individuals to report any tips anonymously by calling 706-812-1000. Informants may even be eligible for a cash reward.
