Brandon Keys, a veteran of the Mesquite Police Department, has climbed up the ranks, securing the title of lieutenant. According to the Mesquite Police Department, Keys, who has dedicated 16 years to serving and protecting the community in various divisions, received the promotion yesterday.

Having worked across multiple departments, including Patrol, Criminal Investigations, and Technical Services, Keys has a well-versed background in law enforcement. His most recent assignment was in Police Administration, acting as Internal Affairs sergeant under Chief Gill—work now recognized with his latest advancement. Celebrated by his department, Keys will take on the role of Watch Commander in Operations.

The ceremony, witnessing the milestone in Keys’ career, was a close-knit affair, with attendance from his family, friends, and colleagues. "Congratulations Lieutenant Keys!
