Chaos erupted in a Northwest street yesterday morning when a man was suddenly plunged into a nightmare scenario—a random and violent shooting that left him wounded and scrambling for help. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred in the 2000 block of 8th Street, Northwest, and now detectives are urgently seeking help to track down the shooter.

The victim, an adult male whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was walking at around 2:30 a.m. when he was abruptly forced to quickly realize the horror of shots fired in his direction. In a desperate attempt to flee the danger, he discovered he was shot and had to self-transport to a nearby hospital. Metropolitan Police Department's report offered no further details on his condition.
