A Milford man is behind bars after a parking dispute escalated to violence, with police alleging he intentionally hit another man with his car. The incident, which occurred early Saturday morning, left the victim seeking treatment for his injuries at Milford Regional Hospital.

According to NBC Boston, the altercation began around 2:28 a.m. when the victim approached 28-year-old Alejandro Gonzalez to tell him that his vehicle was parked in the middle of the road. The argument supposedly heated up before the man attempted to walk away, only to be allegedly struck by Gonzalez's accelerating vehicle, resulting in him being flipped over the car.

Items belonging to the victim, along with pooled blood, were found at the scene by the Milford police who responded. A subsequent investigation quickly led to the arrest of Gonzalez at 5:48 a.m. on multiple criminal charges.

Gonzalez is now facing an array of charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of personal injury, officials informed. He is also charged with operating a motor vehicle so as to negligently to endanger and a marked lanes violation, stated WHDH.

The courts have yet to determine when Gonzalez will make his first appearance to face these charges. The Milford police have not released further details about the injured man's condition or the specific circumstances leading up to the assault.
