The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Children and Families (OCF) is calling on community-based organizations to step up to the plate and tackle poor student attendance and household instability in nine of its Community Schools.
From Alexander K. McClure to the Kensington Health Sciences Academy, these institutions are in dire need of Case Management Services, and this just opened a Request for Proposal (RFP).
The RFP details aren't shy about it; prospective warriors against absenteeism and tumult need to showcase a track record for braving neighborhoods where the term 'community safety' often comes with a question mark. According to the City of Philadelphia's announcement, these organizations will roll their sleeves up and dive into the trenches of socioeconomic and health battles, mobilize family engagement, and intertwine tightly with the schools' internal teams and external partners to churn out nothing short of a local renaissance.
The City’s open for interested groups, and they're setting the stage with a pre-proposal meeting slated for May 17, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. All inquiries regarding the RFP must be submitted via email to the city’s digital letterbox at [email protected] by May 24 at 5:00 P.M.
