This weekend, EXIT Theatre is presenting Fog City Magic Fest, a family-friendly "four-day extravaganza of magic, comedy and more." It's helmed by performers Jay Alexander (who's appeared on the Today show, MTV, and Good Morning America) and Christian Cagigal.
An individual ticket for the fest's grand opening show on January 24th, originally $20, is on sale for $13.75. Additionally, tickets to the 8pm show on January 25th and 26th, or the 1pm show on January 27th, are also $13.75 each.
Tour the GLBT History Museum

If you're looking to educate a history-loving kid, head over to the GLBT History Museum in the Castro, which is "the first stand-alone museum of its kind in the U.S," according to the venue. The flagship exhibit, Queer Past Becomes Present, "offers a kaleidoscopic look at a dozen diverse themes from local queer history ranging from the Gold Rush to today. The exhibition features evocative artifacts, photographs, art, video and audio drawn from the archival collections of the GLBT Historical Society."
Admission for four or six people will cost $10 and $15, respectively. Additionally, tickets for up to 15 people, originally $75, are on sale for $36.
Learn to play the piano at Exploring Music

Sign your favorite kid up for music lessons at Exploring Music, where you can expect "Yamaha-trained instructors [to] help budding musicians improve by providing personalized direction based on each individual's skill level and musical aspirations." A pack of two 50-minute long group piano lessons, originally $55, is on sale for $8.25, while a pack of four 50-minute lessons, originally $110, is being offered for $14.
Take a vampire tour of Nob Hill
