A 33-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds early this morning in Sunnydale, according to SFPD.

Police discovered the victim, a 33-year-old male, around 2:47am on the 1500 block of Sunnydale Avenue after responding to a ShotSpotter report. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds, and no arrest has been made in the case.

ShotSpotter is a network of sensors placed in different neighborhoods that help police detect and respond to gunfire without waiting for a call for service.

According to the Examiner, the technology was installed 10 years ago in the Mission, Bayview and Western Addition, but it's since been expanded to cover Visitacion Valley.
