Police are seeking a suspect who stabbed a man as he was walking his dog last night near the Panhandle in the Upper Haight.

According to police, the incident occurred near Page and Ashbury Streets at 9:07pm when a 33-year-old man walked past the suspect, who is described as a male in his fifties.

The suspect approached the victim and began shouting slurs before he produced a knife, stabbed him and fled westbound on Page Street.

The victim, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was transported to a hospital for treatment and the suspect has not been arrested.
