Three robbers assaulted a woman early this morning with a stun gun and a pipe before stealing her property, police have reported.

The attack took place around 3 a.m. near the corner of 16th and Mission streets when two women said to be 42 and 50 years old and a male suspect in his thirties used an electroshock weapon on the victim before striking her with a metal pipe.

The suspects then stole the woman's cell phone and a credit card before fleeing the scene. The victim, who suffered life-threatening injuries, transported herself to a hospital for treatment.
