Four people were injured in two shootings over the weekend in the Mission and Bayview neighborhoods.

In the first incident, which took place on Friday evening around 8:42 p.m., police responded to a hospital where a 28-year-old man had walked in after suffering gunshot wounds near Folsom and 21st streets.

The victim, who was treated for non-life-threatening wounds, told police that he was walking on the street when he was shot by an unknown suspect.

In the second shooting, which occurred just after 1 a.m. on Saturday, three men, 30, 38, and 26, were standing in front of a house near Pomona and Bayview streets when a suspect in a vehicle drove past and fired multiple rounds before fleeing west on Bayview.

The two older men suffered life-threatening wounds, but the 26-year-old victim was less seriously injured. All of the victims were taken to a hospital for treatment, and police are still seeking the shooter.

Anyone who has information about either of these incidents is encouraged to contact SFPD via the department's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444, or text TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.

Here’s why we usually don’t include suspect descriptions in crime reports.
