It's time for another look at the notable crimes reported in the Castro since our last roundup. All details are from SFPD reports, unless otherwise noted.

Man robbed at Corona Heights Park 

On Dec. 26 at 3:35 p.m., a 20-year-old man was in Corona Heights Park near 15th and Beaver streets when another man, 40, took his bag. The victim chased the suspect before the suspect punched him in the face and fled with his bag, phone, wallet, and other items.

Police impersonators arrested after theft

On Dec. 24 at 1:25 a.m., two suspects, a 22-year-old man and 25-year-old woman, approached a male victim and pretended to be police officers. The suspects were able to coax the victim out of his money before officers located the suspects and took them into custody. 

Suspect signals gun in his pocket, robs man

On Dec. 20 at 9 p.m., a 38-year-old man was near Noe and 16th streets when a male suspect approached and simulated he had a gun in his pocket, demanding property from the other man. The victim handed over his phone before the suspect fled on foot.

Multi-person fight ends in arrest

On Dec. 14 at 8:40 p.m., a 33-year-old woman got into a fight with a 29-year-old man on Church near 16th Street. The man hit the woman with a stick, causing injury. When another man, 30, attempted to break up the fight, a fourth person, a 29-year-old man, pushed the 30-year-old down the stairs. Police arrived and arrested the suspects. The victims were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Tablet robbery leads to chase, arrest

On Dec. 12 at 8:30 p.m., a 31-year-old man was at Church and Duboce streets when a male suspect, 30, punched him and stole his tablet. The victim chased the suspect and police arrived and took him into custody. The victim sustained injuries to his lip.

Man pushes, robs victim

On Dec. 11 at 8:20 p.m., a 74-year-old man was at Market and Church streets when another man, approximately 30-40, pushed him from behind, causing the older man to fall to the ground. The younger man then stole a phone from the victim's pocket and fled on foot.

Robbery at gunpoint

On Dec. 6 at 10:15 p.m., a male suspect entered a store near 17th and Eureka streets and then brandished a handgun, demanding money from a 55-year-old male. The suspect then stole a bottle of soda and fled the store.
