For the past two years, vintage furniture and clothing salon Sunchild's Parlour has held down the retail storefront of the historic Red Victorian, which founder Sami Sunchild originally opened as a bed and breakfast 42 years ago.

This week, the shop is winding down operations, with the Red Vic taking over the street-facing storefront once again.

But that isn't the end of the story for Sunchild's Parlour in the Haight.

Manager Kelly Hagen said the shop, originally opened as a pop-up by Mikey Latronica, is on the hunt for another storefront in the Upper Haight. In the meantime, it will continue selling wares at its sister shop of the same name in Grass Valley, as well as via its Instagram account. And it's available by request (via Instagram) for pop-up appearances at rock shows and drag shows.

Hagen said the shop hopes to be back on Haight Street soon, "but with the construction, who knows."

A representative for the Red Victorian said that future plans for the space are still to be determined. "[But] rest assured, it'll be something arty, something Haight Street."
