Former East Tennessee Officer Charged with False Report After Alleged Threats Trigger ManhuntSource: Google Street View

A former police officer from East Tennessee was slapped with a charge of making a false report following a day-long drama that started with threats against her former colleagues. Monday's incident spiraled into a manhunt that ended in Chattanooga, said officials.

Special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) got their hands dirty investigating the case at the request of 10th District Attorney Shari Tayloe. They traced the threats back to Taylor Ryans, 28, a one-time Cleveland Police Department officer, now an airport police officer, as reported by TBI Newsroom. Ryans allegedly made the threats then hopped in her car to the Cleveland Police Department, then split, her whereabouts unknown until cops found her in Chattanooga.

According to WATE, after Ryans left the Cleveland Police Department she was located in Chattanooga and had to be taken to a hospital. The reasons for her hospital visit have not been disclosed. Post-diagnosis, Ryans didn't get a hospital bed to sleep in; instead, she got a one-way trip to the Bradley County Jail.

Monday evening saw Ryans released from the hospital, only to be clamped in cuffs and charged with a False Report. "She was booked into the Bradley County Jail, where she is being held with no bond," The Chattanoogan reported.
