Chaos erupted on Beale Street as three security guards were shot early Saturday at a popular music bar, with one victim clinging to life in critical condition. Action News 5 reports that the shootings took place just before 3:40 a.m. at the Tin Roof Memphis, creating scenes of panic among club-goers at the famed entertainment stretch.

The Memphis Police Department, rushing to the scene after the gunfire, found the trio with injuries necessitating hospital attention. Although the two guards are in non-critical condition, the third's fight for survival underscores the gravity of their role in protecting the revelers they serve. FOX13 Memphis detailed that all three men were taken to Regional One Health, suffering from gunshot wounds.

The suspect, who has yet to be apprehended, was last seen fleeing the crime scene dressed in a white tank top and blue jean shorts. The Memphis Police Department continues its search, urging anyone with information to reach out and assist in the investigation.

Tin Roof clarified, meanwhile, that the security personnel were not direct employees but part of a third-party company. "It did not involve any Tin Roof employees. They are employees of a private security company contracted as unarmed security guards by Tin Roof," Tin Roof stated in an email obtained by FOX13 Memphis. The establishment expressed its wishes for a quick recovery for the injured guards and pledged cooperation with both the Memphis PD and the security company.

In the wake of the violence, a resident, referred to simply as "Nick," shared his thoughts with WREG, attributing the recurrence of such incidents partly to the imprudence of youth, a sentiment highlighting the community's concern over safety on Beale Street after dark.
