The shift from the cozy corner of 2701 Leavenworth Street, comes with a promise of more space and an expanded menu, catering to a mix of regulars and newcomers alike. As Hoodline's own Steven Bracco reports, the sisters behind the cafe, Thais and Amanda, have also opened a Palmetto Superfoods, adding açaí bowls and smoothies to the Castro neighborhood's offering, alongside their mother Lucimar Canedo.

Saturday's grand opening included a mix of DJ-spun tracks and traditional Brazilian flavors, bringing a festive atmosphere to the new location. With promises of free tote bags and authentic Brazilian food, Cafe de Casa took to Instagram to announce the celebration and thank patrons for their support during the soft opening. Famed for their Pão de Queijo, feijoada, and a range of gluten-free options, Cafe de Casa is shaping up to be as much a local institution as it is a community hangout.
