Four teenagers sparked a high-speed chase after an armed carjacking in Bellevue, Washington, leading the police on a pursuit that ended near the Washington state southern border. The Bellevue Police Department responded to the incident near 10000 Northeast 13th Place in Bellevue on Friday close to 7 p.m., following a report of carjacking at gunpoint, according to KATU.

The suspects, four juveniles ranging from 14 to 17 years old from Portland, reportedly followed the victim to her home in a white Hyundai Elantra before stealing her black BMW X5, which contained her purse, shopping items, and items for her grandchildren, the victim, a grandmother expressed that she did not expect such an event, she told officers nothing seemed suspicious according to FOX13 Seattle, the Bellevue Police quickly located the abandoned Hyundai and most of the victim's possessions.

Subsequently, the Tumwater Police reported encountering the stolen BMW, with suspects seen discarding items into a dumpster. Alerted by Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington State troopers joined the pursuit and they managed to stop the vehicle on Interstate 5 around 9:20 p.m., resulting in the arrest of the teenagers, as reported by MyNorthwest.

Booked into the Washington State Patrol office in Chehalis, the juveniles are facing charges of first-degree robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle, the initial recovery of the BMW in this case, will be stored for further investigation as per law enforcement protocol and now, they await custody hearings in the Juvenile Detention Center in King County. "The victim said she was very worried, she is a grandmother and did not see this coming she told officers that she didn’t see things suspicious or out of place," Bellevue Police Department's Public Information Officer Drew Anderson explained in a statement procured by KATU.
