Chaos erupted in Kent Tuesday morning when a pursuit of armed robbery suspects led to a dramatic car crash and foot chase, authorities said. The debacle began after a trio of masked young males, reportedly in their early teens, robbed a convenience store at gunpoint before making their getaway in a vehicle, which, according to Kent Reporter, was identified as stolen.

The incident kicked off around 5:01 a.m. when the Kent Police Department received a 911 call from a store in the 1400 block of West Meeker Street. The caller claimed to have been held up by the suspects. Armed with a provided license plate number, officers located and tried to apprehend the suspects who were driving a stolen Kia Optima, per KATU News. The ensuing pursuit took a dangerous turn on Military Road South.

The chase culminated when the suspects crashed the vehicle around the 26800 block of northbound Military Road South. All three suspects fled on foot, with Police tracking down two of the suspects, both aged 14, shortly after, as reported by FOX13 Seattle. However, the search involving K-9 units and drones was unsuccessful in locating the third perpetrator.

These teens are not new to the authorities, as police believe they have been involved in several other illegal activities in the area. "The three suspects in today's robbery are suspected to have committed other robberies and crimes in the area," Kent police disclosed in a social media post.
