In a recent announcement that's a nod to the top businesses in Coral Springs, the city's Office of Economic Development named seven local companies as the recipients of their 2024 Business Excellence Awards. The awards coincide with Economic Development Week from May 6-10 and aim to spotlight the businesses that bolster the City of Coral Springs economic well-being with a steadfast commitment to integrity and community service.

Amongst the winners, Bright Pink Agency bagged the Small Business Award, ESG (Event Services Group) snagged the Large Business Award, and the Company to Watch went to Genesis Counseling, a firm dedicated to mental health support. Additionally, the Heart of the Community accolade was awarded to Hellenic Republic while Darby's Florist secured the Legacy Award, for businesses in Coral Springs for over 20 years. YOUniversal Yoga and Friends & Family Spinal Care earned the Sustainability and Commissioner Award, respectively, according to the City of Coral Springs press release.

Specifically, Darby's Florist, a family-operated business since 1975, and known for its reliability and customer satisfaction, was recognized for its long-standing service to the community. Speaking at the City Commission meeting, Elizabeth Redway, part of Darby's Florist mother-daughter duo, said, "This is very humbling to receive this," according to a TapInto.net interview. "We just do our little flower thing over there, and we truly consider it an honor to serve the city and bring smiles to people’s faces in all seasons of their lives," she added.

The winners reflect diverse industries and community engagement, from YOUniversal Yoga's green practices to ESG's growth as a full-service event production company. Kristi Bartlett, Director of Economic Development, lauded the recipients, "All of the businesses who received Business Excellence Awards this year have applied their skills and passions to contribute to the betterment of our community in unique and meaningful ways," as reported by the City of Coral Springs press announcement. These awards position Coral Springs as a flourishing hub where local businesses thrive and, create an impact.
