El Mirage Partners with Heat Relief Network to Offer Hydration Stations Amidst Soaring TemperaturesSource: City of El Mirage

With summertime temperatures soaring, El Mirage has joined forces with the annual Heat Relief Network to help locals and visitors keep cool from May 1 through September 30. Various locations throughout the city have been designated as hydration stations and cooling centers, serving as safe havens from the scorching Arizona sun. Information about these resources can be found on the city's official website, as announced in a May 1 press release.

In an attempt to provide relief from the blistering phenomenon, El Mirage officials have revealed the city's hydration stations are located at key points. The El Mirage Police Department and Fire Department, along with the Customer Service Center, are open for those seeking water and a reprieve from the heat. While the Fire Department hydration station opens its doors every day, from 7:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., other locations adhere to the City office hours of Monday to Thursday within the same time frame.

Across Maricopa County, emergency cooling centers and water distribution points are standing by, ready to assist not only those without a roof over their heads but also anyone who might be at risk from the heat—be it laborers working outdoors, visitors not acclimated to the desert climate, or older residents. The Heat Relief Network's regional platform offers detailed information on where to find these essential services.

Residents can also contribute to the effort. Donation sites across the county are accepting water and supplies to support those in need.
