According to ClickOnDetroit, the man was pronounced dead at the scene after Bloomfield Township police and fire crews arrived first, following a call at 3:41 a.m. reporting a person lying in the road.

"According to a preliminary investigation, a witness who had been traveling west on South Boulevard saw the man in the roadway and called 911 to report it," officials said, as per The Detroit News.
