A New Hampshire man is facing charges after allegedly opening fire on a homeless encampment in Manchester, according to incidents reported independently by Boston 25 News and NBC Boston. Adam Rousseau, 47, was arrested Saturday night after police were alerted by ShotSpotter technology to gunfire in his neighborhood.

Manchester Police were called to Rousseau’s residence at 405 Coolidge Avenue at approximately 7:45 p.m., where they determined that the suspect had fired multiple shots over an embankment directed toward a nearby homeless camp. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries—all present were spared harm. Witnesses, however, confirmed hearing the gunfire. According to authorities, Rousseau has been charged with six counts of reckless conduct, as indicated in the reports by Boston 25 News and NBC Boston.

In response to the incident, police executed a search warrant at Rousseau’s property and uncovered an arsenal. The items seized included six rifles, two pistols, a revolver, and assortments of ammunition, all of which were taken into evidence. As factualized through the reported events, the assumption is Rousseau’s personal firearm collection became a substantial concern for law enforcement that evening.

Despite the grave nature of the charges, Rousseau was not held in custody. He was allowed to walk free on personal recognizance bail, leaving a score unsettled in the eyes of justice.
