Transportation Security Administration officers made a slippery discovery—a bag of snakes hidden within a passenger's pants during a checkpoint screening last Friday, WSVN reports.

The Transportation Security Administration agents were conducting routine checks when they encountered more scales than they bargained for, the slithery cargo was meant for a voyage in the unassuming gentleman's trousers, officials said, and their bafflement was matched only by their quick action to call in for backup from the Customs and Border Protection Southeast Region and the Miami-Dade Police, as per CBS News Miami.

The cold-blooded hitchhikers did not make it to their intended destination; instead, the snakes were safely transferred to the custody of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, which confirmed their safe handling and relocation.
