The Bexar County Sheriff's Office has successfully concluded the search for Jaylen Yates, the 13-year-old boy reported missing last week. After a several days long search, Yates has been found safe, as confirmed by county officials.

Jaylen was reported missing after he didn’t return home on April 30, the date he was last seen by his mother. Last contacting his mother the following day, he had said he would be home by 11 a.m., which sparked concern when the young boy failed to turn up. Found him taxpayers of Bexar County who foot the bill for the search operation, in good health in the Sunrise neighborhood of Kirby.

The details surrounding his disappearance have not been made public, but authorities are reportedly continuing their investigation. Prior to his discovery, Jaylen's description circulated widely in attempts to locate him. He was noted as standing 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. His last known outfit consisted of a black T-shirt, grey jeans and purple/black Jordan shoes, as reported by FOX San Antonio.

In efforts to find him, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office had reached out to the public for assistance. They encouraged anybody with knowledge of Jaylen's whereabouts to come forward and provided a contact number as well as an email address for their Missing Persons Unit. Officials were especially concerned given Jaylen's young age and the unclear circumstances of his days-long absence, as mentioned by KSAT.

The community’s relief is palpable now that Jaylen is back with his family. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office has not released further details about the case, but they have expressed their gratitude to those who assisted in the search efforts.
