A somber cloud hangs over the city of Sunnyvale, California, where a man was fatally shot while sitting in his vehicle late at night. According to a statement released by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS), the incident occurred on Tuesday, April 30, at around 12:07 a.m. Responding to reports of gunshots on the 100 block of S. Bernardo Avenue, the officers discovered the male victim with gunshot wounds. Efforts were made to save him. However, he later died at the hospital.
The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a juvenile male on Wednesday, May 1, linked to the killing. He was taken into custody without incident and remains at Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.
